later we had a new water heater—easy peasy. The tech was very nice and they did a great job cleaning up as well.
How to judge plumbing work
Most plumbing emergencies are the visible end of a slow problem: a supply line that has been weeping behind drywall, a water heater whose anode rod gave up years ago, or a drain line that has been narrowing with scale. The value of a good plumber is largely in catching the slow version before it becomes the loud one.
Water pressure, pipe material and water chemistry interact more than most homeowners expect. Hard water shortens fixture life; pressure above roughly 80 psi stresses every joint in a house. Asking what a plumber measures — not just what they replace — is a fair way to judge one.
| Component | Typical service interval | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Water heater flush | Annually | Sediment reduces efficiency and shortens tank life |
| Anode rod check | 2–4 years | A spent rod moves corrosion to the tank itself |
| Supply hoses (washer) | Replace every 5 years | Burst hoses are a leading cause of water damage |
| Main shutoff exercise | Annually | A seized valve turns a small leak into a large one |
| Drain line inspection | As symptoms appear | Slow drains often precede a full blockage |
What customers say
Jesse and his coworker did a very good job. I received multiple service scenarios to include what I wanted, needed and upgrade options. The work I had done was reasonably priced and they were able to stay after the quote and perform the job. All around a good experience. I will definitely give them first priority on future projects.

This is the 4th time I've had to call a plumber and I keep coming back to Wyatt works. They're transparent about their options and fair with pricing. It's so rare that a company as a whole is so personable. So far, I've met Pete, Kyle, and now Austin and everyone has been very friendly, knowledgeable, and just really great to work with. Definitely recommend.

WyattWorks was here within one day of requesting service. Tech Jean was the BEST! He diagnosed the problem correctly and promptly fixed it. He was extremely professional and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He was very conscientious about doing the neatest job possible. He was also very patient answering my questions and giving me a “tutorial” on piping which I appreciated. A++
